Service as an Escrow Agent
For Player Direct Transactions
When a buyer submits
a request for a client's item that we do not currently have in our inventory, Beyond The Dugout acts as an escrow agent in
completing the desired transaction. Once the buyer's payment is received and verified, we will notify our client to
ship the desired item to our office for certification. Once certified, the item will be shipped to the buyer via Priority
Insured mail with Delivery Confirmation. As soon as we confirm with the USPS that the item has been delivered, the funds
will be disbursed to our client. Buyer agrees to pay a 10% premium to BTD for items acquired via a Player Direct Request.
For Secondary-Market Transactions (on items orginating from our BTD Inventory) When a prospective buyer inquires
about purchasing an item previously purchased from our inventory, Beyond The Dugout will contact the current owner to determine
if their is interest in re-selling the item. If the current owner expresses interest in re-selling the item, with or
without profit, BTD will work as the intermediary and escrow agent to complete the agreed-to transaction. Once
the new buyer's payment is received and verified, we will notify the original buyer/current owner to ship the desired item
to our office for re-certification. Once re-certified, the item will be shipped to the new buyer via Priority Insured
mail with Delivery Confirmation. As soon as we confirm with the USPS that the item has been delivered, the funds will
be disbursed to the original purchaser. Seller agrees to pay BTD a fee equal to the lesser of 20% of the profit made
from the second transaction, or $50.
This policy is designed to insure all parties are satisfied and
protected from risk in BTD-assisted transactions.
