Palm Beach Cardinals Home Jersey #48, worn during the 2004 Florida State League season by current
St. Louis Cardinals' centerfielder (and former top pitching prospect), Rick Ankiel. White AIS jersey, size 48, with
red tackle-twill "Palm Beach" script across chest and numbers on back. Letters/numbers trimmed in blue.
Jersey was the final jersey worn by Ankiel as a pitcher, during
his failed comeback following Tommy John surgery the prior year. Ankiel returned during the 2005 season as an outfield
prospect, climbing back thru the Cardinals system before re-emerging as a solid Major League outfielder, returning to the
Major Leagues during the 2007 season. Jersey is unsigned. |
